House, M.D.: Season 8

I realize we’re only a week out from the very controversial ending to Season 7, which finds House having crashed his car into Cuddy’s house and then running away from it all to a beautiful tropical paradise. But how do the creat

themselves out of the finale’s ending. At the very least, House will not be able to show his face in New Jersey without getting arrested. He could be charged with everything from reckless endangerment to felony drug charges. My guess is that Wilson will not let him off the hook as he did in Season 3, and with Cuddy now gone, neither of his enablers will … enable.

Or will House come back having gone through drug rehab and a pain clinic, coming out of the disaster a new man, much to the shock ofeveryone who knows him? But he’ll still have an awful lot to answer for.

So, dear readers, what do you want to see as we wait three or more months for the next new episode of House? I know nothing, as the writers have just come back from hiatus, where they will have to tackle the double thorny issues of Lisa Edelstein’s departure and the destruction caused by House to Cuddy’s place–and to all of his relationships back at PPTH!

You never know who’s reading, so let’s make this a wish list worth remembering come next September!

And while you’re thinking House, be sure to pick up a copy of Chasing Zebras if you haven’t already. Even though the episode guide only goes through Season 6, there is a lot of meat there to enjoy about the characters, relationships (all of them), the series social commentary and special commentaries on some of the finest House moments in the series history. Well, if David Shore is indeed 'reeling' from LE departure and keeps having to explain why House isn't a homicidal maniac for driving his car into an occupied house........perhaps he should start there with Gregory House. The character has allot of explaining to do too, plus he should be up on charges for attempted manslaughter at the minimum. David Shore should write out of his own angst if he indeed has any. They do say write what you know.

I won't watch a single minute of the next season if writers are not going to show us a deeply tortured House. How could he bear the idea of having destroyed everything between him and Cuddy? She's been such an important person for him and now she hates him, she probably thinks he could have hurt her and her daughter and she's disappeared from his life. It would be completely out of character if House didn't have a lot of regrets about what he did.

The only option they have now that Lisa is leaving (still crying) is that Cuddy will leave PPTH, which don't make senses cause the hospital is everything to her, all her life and she will certainly not leave it for House to return...

But what choice do they have ?

What i really want to see in season 8 is House still talking and mentioning Cuddy even if she's gone.

I want Wilson there and pissed off at House for what he did.

House did crash into her house to break their relationship, to not have link with her, to turn the page cause she will never forgive him for that...but can they put an end at this kind of relationship ?(more than 25 years)..

And of course i want Lisa back as a guest ;)

I would take House back to the rubble of the collapsed garage in in 6:23, dig him out and have him in the bed next to Coma Guy. I would have his face in close up when he opens his startled eyes to Cuddy asking the question " Who's Lucinda ?". I would erase S7 asoccuring inside House's head and dial back to an uncomsumated Huddy and allot of the other foolishness that should have only occurred inside the rattled brain of a comatose House. Least of which would be the Season 7 Finale. Erase the whiteboard and start over.

I'd like to see Cuddy put a bounty out on House. Then dective Tritter should resign from the police force so he could take it on as a bounty hunter and hunt House down. It would be fun to watch Tritter chase House through the Fuji Islands.

Hey, to make this idea even better, Tritter resigns from the Princeton Police and teams up with "Lucas" Douglass and THEY go after House. They hop all over the islands in the South Pacific (playing a commical "suspencful" game of cat and mouse. House is diagnosing strange NEW illnesses all over the Islands in the natives "living in the slums". The PPTH department is still trying to do their job with Chris Maloney as the new Dean of Medicine. Chase is secretly doing DDX with house by cell phone with House.....and actually this is how Tritter & Lucas keep getting a fix on House's location. House was smart enough to move most of his money before Tritter could get his accounts frozen (this is how he can finance his island hopping). Dominika is pregnant by her boy friend (or Taub..........the man is so hyper-fertile he can impregnate women with a simple hand shake or hug). Dominika goes to find House for a divorce so she can marry her baby's daddy. House starts playing blues music in hotels bars for rich tourists.....to make some extra money and as a cover identity (stage name Dr. John #2 or Lady Killer). ............Hey, I never said Season 8 was going to be believeable.

As Lisa Edelstein's departure means a new Chief Administrator is needed for PPTH, it would be good to see Cameron again, however briefly. And Jennifer Morrison has said on Twitter that she'd go back to the show "in a heartbeat" if the opportunity arose.

Tourmaline - sounds good but the HOUSE sausage fest wouldn't allow for Jennifer to return. The new Dean of Medicine will have to be a man.....hey I hear Chris Maloney is available.

Tourmaline Jennifer will be starring in her own TV show this season Once Upon a Time on ABC. I'll be covering it in the month before it premieres. It looks great and a fantastic opportunity for her!

It's my feelings too, and I afraid of poor explanation of her leaving. And I am scared that in s8 they find new girl for House that she will his "partner in crime",his "alter ego' and he will happy with her in the end. And that will be disgasting and so unfair. but because Shores said that there are new opportunities with LE leaving and opened door, I hate this idea! I don't believe them anymore. What they would write in S8 is just trying to justice what they did to Cuddy character and House-Cuddy relationship.They ruined canon of show and show's charisma and this is so devastating! But I will watch s8 because I really love Hugh Laurie and if he jusrt will read "Yellow pages" I will watch that

I'm still recovering from Lisa Edelstein's departure, so I haven't really thought about what I expect to see next season yet. All I know is that I will come back for it.

I am curious to know how they'll explain Cuddy's absence, and deep deep down, I still hope she'll come back someday.

But whatever happens, imo House will remain the same, he might change a little, but he'll go back to be who he is, even if what he did changes his relationships forever, House will always be House. In the SF we were supposed to see a new House, or at least I think we were, and tbh we did see a House moving on, but that was a moment, and I learned that moments don't last forever, and they certainly don't change a person forever, not in this show.

who_house I hear Fox has put out a survey (I guess it is going to some people registered on their web site). The rumor is they are asking questions about favorite female character and if you would watchif Cuddy was gone? Interesting, maybe someone is FINALLY listening........but it is FOX and it is HOUSE so don't get you hopes up to high. Monumental arrogance has kept them from listening so far.

fatOlady hm, I heard that too, but you're right I shouldn't get my hopes up :/ Only I find it odd they asking "what if" I mean isn't it a done deal already? She is gone, there's no "if". Unless they're still trying to negotiate, oh dammit, I am getting my hopes up :/ lol. Anyway, that is the first time I hear they're doing this, maybe it's a good sign, not that'll change anything, but maybe it'll be good for future shows.
